Wyoming Travel & Tourism works closely with the Wyoming travel industry – the state's second-leading industry, with 37,823 full-time and part-time employees.
The tourism program adds marketing muscle through a wide range of marketing opportunities. Additionally, the division works to raise the world’s awareness of Wyoming's complete menu of tourism resources by providing information on all accommodations, outfitter/adventure businesses and events.
Cooperative programs allow the division to leverage its budget and maximize resources. Partnerships are active with tourism entities in surrounding states and gateway communities to the region, Wyoming-based lodging tax boards, other state and federal agencies and a large number of private sector businesses.
The tourism program has shifted its role from being solely a marketing group to one of guidance in product development across the state. Established as a top priority, development of Wyoming's vast tourism-related assets is being undertaken to insure the stability and diversification of job availability in the industry.
