Thermopolis-Hot Springs Wyoming's "HOT SPOT". A great place to stay year round swim, soak, and slide in pools from the "World's Largest Mineral Hot Springs." The most visited State Park in Wyoming. The name thermopolis is a combination of the Latin word thermal (heat) and a Greek word polis (city). Visitors can spend hours touring the Hot Springs Museum and Cultural Center.

The museum houses a large number of relics, pictures, and Indian artifacts including a copy of the treaty giving the nearby hot spring to the people of the United States. The original back bar from the "Hole-in-the-Wall Saloon" is also in the museum.
